On 21 July we will resume the major FinTech events with an InnoDay that will serve as the framework for the first General Assembly of the Madrid Capital FinTech (MAD FinTech) cluster. The Board of Directors, meeting this week, decided to call this meeting and to support the call with their presence, which will also be transmitted through the YouTube channel of the ECOFIN Forum for non-members and those who cannot travel that day to La Nave in Madrid.
This is an event that will hybridise the physical and the online, typical of times of pandemics; but it will be open to the entire ECOFIN Forum family. On 21 July from 10.00 am, we will start with an institutional panel thanks to the public-private partnership that has made the MAD FinTech cluster possible.

This panel will include Begoña Villacís, Deputy Mayor of Madrid; Manuel Giménez,Minister of Economy of the Community of Madrid; Miguel Ángel Redondo, Councillor for Economy, Innovation and Employment, Madrid City Council Ángel Niño,concejal de Innovación y Emprendimiento del Ayuntamiento de Madrid; Fernando Herrero, Director General of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Madrid City Council; José Luis Moreno,Director General of Economics of the Madrid City Council; and Salvador Molina, president of the Madrid Capital FinTech cluster.

One hour later, at 11 a.m., it will be the turn of the post-Covid recipes of the world’s great technologists. The cluster will constitute that same morning itsTech Advisory Board composed of the senior management in Spain of some of the world’s largest technology companies, in what will be a panel with a marked television format that will surprise more than one and, above all, will allow invaluable lessons to be drawn in order to take advantage of the global social change that the pandemic has forced.
Silvia Leal,a technology disseminator and presenter of the programme ‘The Fourth Revolution’ (TVE), will conduct the format in the company of Manuel Castro,a journalist and broadcaster for RNE.
At 12.30 pm, more than 150 companies that have participated for more than half a year in the process of proposing reforms and improvements to facilitate the Reinvention of Finance: Banking, Insurance and Investment will be given a voice. In this way, the so-called ‘Cibeles Manifesto’ will be presented, a collaborative document that brings together the contributions of more than 14 MAD FinTech and Círculo FinTech think tanks and commissions, which were launched at the end of 2019 within the Círculo FinTech, presented their first conclusions on 19 February at the InnoDay FinTech held at the Palacio de Cibeles and which has finally been completed by the 14 commissions of the Madrid Capital FinTech cluster. It will be the value proposition of the cluster and its roadmap to accelerate the reinvention of Finance.
