On Tuesday 21 July, an InnoDay FinTech was held as a preamble to the General Assembly of Partners of the Madrid Capital FinTech (MAD FinTech) cluster. The event was broadcast live on the ECOFIN Forum channel on YouTube Live and had an innovative television format that allowed us to get closer than ever to the exceptional speakers who participated.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The big day of financial innovation has arrived. On Tuesday 21 July the InnoDay FinTech 2020 was<\/a> held,<\/strong> a meeting on the Reinvention of Finance at La Nave (Madrid’s centre of inspiration), thanks to the public-private collaboration between Foro ECOFIN and Madrid City Council.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The meeting started at 10 a.m. with the welcome of Salvador Molina,<\/strong> president of the Madrid Capital FinTech cluster, who thanked the various authorities invited for their presence: \u00c1ngel Ni\u00f1o,<\/strong> Councillor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Madrid City Council; Rodrigo Tilve,<\/strong> Director General of Economy and Competitiveness of the Community of Madrid; Fernando Herrero,<\/strong> Director General of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Madrid City Council; and Jos\u00e9 Luis Moreno,<\/strong> Director General of Economy, Madrid City Council.<\/p>\n

From 11 a.m., a dialogue was opened with the technology and digitalisation industry to find out their ‘recipes for taking advantage of the COVID’.<\/strong> It will be a high-level dialogue in which a group of businessmen, managers and experts will debate in an innovative ‘TV analyst’ format with the event’s presenters, Silvia Leal and Manuel Castro.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Among others, he contributed his vision Luis Pardo,<\/strong> CEO of Sage Spain and Portugal Carolina Moreno,<\/strong> Vicepresidenta de Ventas EMEA y Directora General del Sur de Europa de Liferay; Alberto Ceniz,<\/strong> Cuentas Estrat\u00e9gicas, Finanzas y Ventas al por menor y de empresa en Google Cloud de Google; Agust\u00edn Yag\u00fce,<\/strong> Director of the Escuela T\u00e9cnica Superior de Ingenier\u00eda de Sistemas Inform\u00e1ticos of the Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid; and Tom\u00e1s Ariceta,<\/strong>President and CEO of Entelgy<\/p>\n

Cibeles Manifesto<\/strong><\/h4>\n

At 12 noon the Cibeles Manifesto<\/strong>was presented, a document born from the dozens of meetings that the different Working Groups and Commissions of the Madrid Capital FinTech cluster<\/strong> have held by videoconference during the confinement. The Cibeles Manifesto will become the starting point of the cluster and the roadmap to be followed from now on to reinvent the digital and financial capital of the city of Madrid.<\/p>\n

Miguel \u00c1ngel Redondo<\/strong>The Councillor for Economy, Innovation and Employment of the Madrid City Council closed this InnoDay, broadcast by Youtube Life, emphasising the digital and innovation ecosystem that is being consolidated in Madrid around the clusters, which, like that of Madrid Capital FinTech (MAD FinTech), are being promoted jointly by the Madrid City Council and the Community of Madrid.<\/p>\n

At the end of this intensive three-hour InnoDay by streaming<\/em>, a private event started: the first MAD FinTech Partners’ General Assembly,<\/strong> where the managers and CEOs of the more than one hundred companies adhering to the cluster will have their first official joint meeting. The managers were connected via the Google Meet<\/strong> platform, allowing them to attend regardless of their location. <\/p>\n

The use of new technologies for telematic access also allowed InnoDay FinTech<\/strong>to be fully followed live on YouTube Live<\/strong>.<\/a> An innovative access route that undoubtedly surprised the ECOFIN Forum family.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
